COURTENEY SATKO
Courteney Satko (SHS Class of 2010). Dedicated, Inspirational, Leader, Athlete.
Courteney was an exceptional multi-sport athlete at Sisters High School, excelling
on the track, in the pool, and on the volleyball court. She was on the podium
numerous times at Oregon State Championships for the track and swim teams as
an individual and as a member of relay teams. In addition to those finishes at the
State Championships, she finished her high school career with All Time Top-10
finishes in track in the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, and 800 meter races, the
pole vault, and as a member of both the 400 meter and 1600 meter relay teams.
She was elected MVP for the track and swim teams and was named captain of
the volleyball, swim, and track teams. Courteney also was a pivotal member of the
2009 State Champion Volleyball team. She graduated as the 2010 Sisters High
School Athlete of the Year, and as an honor roll student. Courteney equally
excelled after high school. Though an injury cut short her track career at Boise
State University, she served as Oregon Trail Appaloosa Queen, was selected as
Miss Deschutes County, and was third runner-up in the Miss Oregon Pageant
2012. Courteney has focused on equestrian studies during her young adult life, and
presently is a real estate broker in central Oregon.
